Parent - Teacher Organization
The Parent-Teacher Organization has 3 goals:
1. To build community: Parents are our most valuable resource. The PTO is an essential part of the school, and involves parents serving as role models for the children.
2. To plan fundraising events: The parent community will raise funds to enable special projects for the school.
3. To support classroom instruction: The PTO helps teachers by providing room parents to help coordinate activities, providing materials and serving as aides.
The Parent-Teacher Organization meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8:00PM in the gym. Parents are required to attend five PTO meetings during the school year; as are the teachers. The officers of the PTO are elected by the school community in the spring. The PTO is conducted under the direction of the principal.
