About Us:
The goal of the library program at St. Albert the Great Catholic School is to create enthusiastic readers and lifelong learners. The program promotes the value of reading, library citizenship, literature appreciation, and develops library skills.
Students visit the library once a week for one-half hour
Students in grades K-2 are permitted to check out one book for one week.
Students in grades 3-5 are permitted to check out two books for one week. Not including a book report books.
Students in Junior High are permitted to check out three books monthly.
Students are allowed additional books for projects with library permission.
St. Albert the Great Catholic School utilizes the Reading Counts independent reading comprehension program. Currently students in grades 2-5 read books from the quiz list then take a comprehension quiz to earn points. Each classroom teacher has assigned the amount of points required per quarter. This program monitors and evaluates our students’ independent reading on a weekly basis.
Birthday Book Program- Please see the attached flyer for information on how you can honor your student's birthday with a special book in our school library.
